About MyBackHub
What is MyBackHub?
MyBackHub is an online care navigation platform offering AI-enabled, personalized back pain relief. Our mission is to give every person with back pain a clear, science-backed roadmap instead of a confusing, trial-and-error journey through the healthcare system. We help you identify the hidden imbalances and pain-triggering misalignments in your back through an at-home AI assessment called the PostureBackNeck Assessment. From there, our platform builds an individualized plan with targeted exercises, instant movement feedback, education, and clinical navigation based on evidence-based guidelines.
Who are the experts behind MyBackHub?
Our program was developed under the guidance of spine specialists from leading academic institutions including Harvard, Stanford, Duke, and Johns Hopkins, along with world-class movement experts. MyBackHub was founded by Dr. Michael Gardner, an orthopedic surgeon at Stanford University who has personally treated over 20,000 patients and performed more than 8,000 orthopedic surgeries. Each of our certified experts is meticulously trained, tested, and vetted.
What is the PostureBackNeck Assessment?
The PostureBackNeck Assessment is a clinical-grade, AI-powered posture scan that identifies hidden sources of back pain. Using your device camera, it analyzes your posture, movement patterns, and spinal alignment to generate a personalized report identifying asymmetries, imbalances, and likely pain contributors. It takes about 10–30 minutes, can be done from home, and results are typically available within about an hour.
What is AI Guided Therapy?
AI Guided Therapy is MyBackHub's personalized digital coaching system. It takes your PostureBackNeck Assessment results and generates a daily exercise and movement plan targeted to your specific spinal data. The system provides real-time AI feedback on your movements and adapts based on how you interact with the exercises. It's available anytime on the iOS or Android app.
How is MyBackHub different from physical therapy, chiropractic care, or other apps?
Most traditional treatments apply one-size-fits-all protocols. MyBackHub uses AI-powered assessment to identify the precise root cause of your pain, then builds a plan around your unique body. The program adapts in real time as you progress, is available on demand from home, and costs a fraction of traditional care. A 2024 study in the Journal of Spine found that one of our programs, Scoliosis Realignment Therapy, delivered significant improvements in pain, self-image, and mental health within weeks.
Suitability & Safety
Am I too old for this?
Absolutely not. The methods we teach have helped tens of thousands of people, including many over 70 and into their 80s. The program includes gentle, chair-based movements and meets your body where it is today. Whether you're flexible or have a hard time getting up from the floor, there's an entry point for you.
Is this safe for people with osteoporosis?
Yes. Many of our members have osteopenia or osteoporosis, and all exercises are designed to be safe for people with low bone density. Members also get access to educational resources, including a paper from Mayo Clinic on the benefits of movement for people with osteoporosis.
Can this help with neck pain, a tilted pelvis, or other issues beyond my back?
If your secondary pain is related to your spinal condition — and it often is — then correcting the spinal asymmetry is one of the most effective ways to find long-term relief. A tilted pelvis or other asymmetries are frequently the body's way of compensating for a curve or imbalance. For issues outside typical back pain, we always recommend discussing with your doctor first.
I don't have pain yet. Should I still start?
This is actually a great time to start. Spinal conditions can continue to progress with age, and pain often appears later. The goal isn't just to manage pain — it's to help halt progression and prevent future symptoms from developing.
Can I do this if I have limited mobility or can't get on the floor?
Yes. Many program elements can be performed seated in a chair, at a kitchen counter, or in bed. The system recommends exercises appropriate for your current ability level and advances you gradually as your strength and flexibility improve.
What if I've had a spinal fusion?
Many people who've already had surgery use this program to reduce pain, improve movement, and help avoid additional procedures. Even after a fusion, vertebrae can continue to curve and rotate above and below the surgery site, and our program is effective at helping limit further progression. If you've had a recent surgery, you'll need medical clearance before joining.
What if a doctor has told me there's nothing left to do?
Many doctors recommend "wait and see" or pain medication. In many cases, they simply haven't been trained in personalized, movement-based therapy for curved or misaligned spines. When you address the root cause, it often becomes possible to find the relief you've been looking for.
Is this safe alongside my current treatment?
Generally, yes. The program is low-impact and low-intensity, and safe for most people. We encourage you to share it with your existing healthcare providers and always recommend checking with your medical team before starting any new exercise plan.
The Scoliosis Solution
What is the Scoliosis Solution?
The Scoliosis Solution is a structured, expert-guided home exercise program designed specifically for people with scoliosis. It's built on the principle of treating the scoliotic curve in all three dimensions — lateral, rotational, and sagittal. The program includes on-demand scoliosis-safe exercise videos, a vibrant community of fellow members, and live classes with instructors and experts.
How is this different from Schroth therapy?
Schroth therapy is delivered by a licensed therapist in a clinic. The Scoliosis Solution is a guided home exercise program that shares the same fundamental principle of treating the curve in all three dimensions, and also incorporates the latest developments in pilates, nerve science, and fascial release. Many members who've tried Schroth find our program a practical extension or alternative that fits their lifestyle more easily.
Why will this work when other stretches and programs haven't?
Most traditional treatments are designed for straight spines. Our program is designed specifically for curved spines — to make sure you're doing scoliosis-safe exercises that actually help, not hurt. We believe curved spines require curved-spine therapy.
Are there more advanced coaching options available?
Yes. For members who want deeper, one-on-one support with certified scoliosis experts — including a personalized care plan built around your unique spine — we offer advanced coaching options. Speak with our team to learn more about what's available and what might be right for your situation.
What do the 6 weeks look like?
Week 1 — Foundations & Curve Understanding: Identify your body's compensations and build a deep understanding of your specific scoliotic curve.
Week 2 — Core Corrective Movement: Continue the Scoliosis Realignment Therapy modules, working on asymmetric strengthening and repositioning your spine in three dimensions.
Week 3 — Building Strength & Resilience: Add weekly scoliosis-safe strength sessions focused on the core muscles needed for long-term spinal stability.
Week 4 — Integrating Habit into Daily Life: Carry corrective movement into everyday activities like sitting, driving, and walking.
Week 5 — Progress Consolidation & Review: Consistent practice and reflection to solidify new habits and body awareness.
Week 6 — Long-Term Planning & Next Steps: Conclude with a complimentary check-in call to plan your continued spinal care path.

How much does the membership cost?
The MyBackHub Membership is $99/month for self-pay members. If you have Medicare Part B, you may be able to access the membership through our Insurance Track — we verify your coverage before you enroll so you know your costs up front.
Is it a subscription?
Yes. The MyBackHub Membership is a monthly subscription, ensuring ongoing access to all new content, expert support, and technology updates.
What's the first step after I log in?
The essential first step is to complete the PostureBackNeck (PBN) Assessment. This scan is the core of the program — your exercises won't be personalized until you complete it.
What equipment is needed for the PBN Assessment, and how long does it take?
You'll need a smartphone, or a desktop or laptop with a camera. Stand back in a space with room to move, avoiding reflective surfaces like mirrors so the software can see your whole body. The biometric part of the assessment takes about 20 minutes.
Once I complete the scan, how do I get my personalized exercises?
Your scan results feed directly into the AI Guided Therapy app. Download it by searching "AI Guided Therapy" in the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iPhone), and log in with the same credentials you use on the MyBackHub website.
What is the Empowered Relief program?
Empowered Relief is an 80-minute session designed to address the psychological and neurological components of pain, which often begin in the brain. The program has been clinically shown to provide as much benefit as eight sessions of cognitive behavioral therapy.
Can I get advice about my specific condition inside the platform?
Yes. The MyBackHub AI Companion is a chatbot trained on an extensive library of research and data related to back health. You can ask it questions and it will provide guidance and recommendations.
I have scoliosis. Does the membership support my condition?
Yes. The MyBackHub Membership includes complimentary access to The Scoliosis Solution, with scoliosis-specific exercises and classes such as the Scoliosis Realignment Therapy Program, which has resulted in an average of 31% pain reduction. If you want the highest level of personalization, advanced coaching options are available where experts review your X-rays to build custom exercises for your specific curve type.
Who do I contact for technical support?
For technical support, including login issues like "invalid or expired token" or "invalid credentials," email support@mybackhub.com. If you're having trouble logging in on your browser, try a new incognito window — this can bypass stored cookies that sometimes interfere with login.
Insurance Track
What is the Insurance Track?
The Insurance Track is a way for eligible Medicare Part B members to access the full MyBackHub Membership through their coverage. You receive the exact same platform, programs, and resources as every other member, plus a dedicated care navigator who proactively checks in on your progress.
Who qualifies for the Insurance Track?
Adults enrolled in Medicare Part B who meet clinical eligibility criteria. The best way to find out is to complete our short eligibility questionnaire — it takes just a few minutes, and there's no obligation.
How much does the Insurance Track cost?
Your out-of-pocket cost depends on your specific coverage, so we verify your benefits before you enroll. Members with supplemental Medigap coverage (such as Plan F or Plan G) typically have their cost-share covered. Members without supplemental coverage may be responsible for a standard Medicare co-pay. We'll walk you through exactly what to expect during eligibility verification.
What are the participation requirements?
Members engage with AI Guided Therapy at least twice per calendar month so the clinical team can provide meaningful monitoring. Members who fall below the threshold are contacted by their care navigator for support. The requirement is intentionally low and achievable even for busy or less active members.
What is a care navigator?
A dedicated team member assigned to support you throughout your journey. Your care navigator proactively checks in, answers questions, helps you understand your assessment results, and makes sure you're getting the most from the program.
Cost, Billing & Commitment
What is the cancellation policy?
The MyBackHub Membership (self-pay) and the Scoliosis Solution 6-Week Program both come with a full 14-day money-back guarantee and no long-term commitment. If the program isn't a good fit, just email support@mybackhub.com for a refund — no hassle.
Can I use my HSA/FSA card? Do you take insurance?
Many members pay with their HSA or FSA cards. We also encourage you to submit to your insurance, as approval depends on each insurer.
How does this compare to the cost of traditional care?
Treating chronic back pain can cost over $10,000 per patient in the first year alone, and traditional scoliosis treatment can total $11,500 to well over $150,000. MyBackHub provides specialized, personalized care at a fraction of that cost, from the comfort of your home.
How much time do I need to commit each day?
You can start with as little as 15 minutes a day. The Scoliosis Solution recommends around 20–30 minutes, five days a week. Once you've learned the basics, the exercises integrate naturally into your daily routine. Consistency beats intensity.
How soon will I see results?
Scientific literature has shown our program leads to significant improvements in pain levels, body image, and mental health within weeks. Some members report noticeable differences soon after starting their recommended exercises. Results depend on consistency and the nature of your condition.
What equipment do I need?
All you need is a computer or smartphone and an internet connection. If you do floor-based exercises, a yoga mat helps but isn't required. If you prefer seated exercises, a sturdy chair is all you need. No gym equipment, no wearables, and no technical expertise required.
Is my health information kept private?
Yes. MyBackHub handles all health information in compliance with applicable privacy laws. Your data is stored securely and is never sold to third parties.
